UON Architecture in the World's Top 45
The University of Newcastle (UON) Australia's architecture and built environment discipline ranked 45 in the world by the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017. The discipline has a unique forward-thinking focus on managing, designing and planning for resilience in our built environments.
Head of School, Professor Sue Anne Ware, says that as we enter an unprecedented era of global challenges, there is an urgent need to anticipate risk, limit impact, and bounce back rapidly through survival, adaptability and growth in the face of turbulent change.
“As the world faces more frequent and devastating disasters, organisations involved in disaster response need to be well prepared for post-disaster reconstruction, with competence in disaster management, strategic management and project management,” she said.
